Specifications and technical features of industrial motorized Belt Conveyors

(private tender)

Our customer is looking to acquire a handling system comprising a Belt Extractor and three industrial Belt Conveyors for an aluminum export production site.

The aim is to handle large, heavy blocks of alumina (an oxide in white solid form, colorless and insoluble in water) and cryolite (a highly abrasive product at a temperature of 80°C) for internal logistics.

The Belt Conveyor and Idlers, as well as the modular belts, must be able to withstand high ambient temperatures.

In addition, the transport of bulk products must be mechanically automated by means of a geared motor.

  • Belt Extractor flow rate: 125 m3/h
  • Desired throughput in current handling for modular Belt and Idlers Conveyors: 100 To/hr.

Our solution :
a modular, motorized Belt Extractor conveyor

Design and supply of an ME. E A belt extractor conveyor with a width of 14 m x 1,000 m to feed material under a hopper with a reception area of 2,000 x 600 mm. The Extractor must be able to achieve an instantaneous flow rate of 1400 kg in 15 seconds, and is inclined at 10°C.

Design and supply of a MANUKIT E.A 25 m, 800 mm wide Belt Conveyor. The conveyor belt is inclined at 30° and equipped with a 32 mm high herringbone belt.

Design and supply of a MANUKIT E.A 29 m, 800 mm wide Belt Conveyor. The belt and Idlers conveyor is inclined at 10°C and equipped with a smooth rubber belt.

Design and supply of a MANUKIT E.A 8 m, 800 mm wide Belt Conveyor, inclined at 10°C and equipped with a smooth rubber belt.

  • All Belt Conveyors are equipped with Rotation controllers, Elevation controllers and Belt offset controllers.
  • Gearmotors are tropicalized, i.e. technically adapted to hot and/or tropical zones, to withstand high ambient temperatures.
  • The rubber belts have a special anti-abrasive coating, and their operating tensions are adapted to requirements
  • The receiving troughs of each Belt Conveyor are reinforced with impact and sliding bars.
  • The entire scope of supply was assembled and tested in our industrial workshops, and accepted by our customer prior to packing into containers and dispatch.
  • The Belt Conveyors were loaded into containers according to a precise loading plan to optimize transport costs

Material to be transported :
residual alumina and cryolite parts

Production time: 6 weeks

Plant location: African continent

The Manukit conveyor, an industrial Belt Conveyor for heavy loads

Also known as a Belt Conveyor, the Belt Conveyor is mainly used in the industrial sector. From the manufacture to the assembly of parts (whether light or heavy loads), several specific machines are used in this sector for productivity purposes, notably conveyors.

To further reinforce this notion of profitability and optimization of available resources, industrial plants need to set up machines to convey individual parts and loads to the entire final assembly line.

The role of the industrial Belt Conveyor is therefore to transport each part more easily and quickly, thanks to its "conveyor belt", in a fluid and continuous way, without generating load and transport breaks.

Certain industrial sectors have specific needs in terms of parts transport, especially when it comes to heavy loads. That's why Tecnitude has developed Manukit, an industrial Belt conveyor specially designed and adapted for heavy parts and continuous handling in logistics.
