What is a Belt Conveyor?
Also known as a grasshopper, a Belt Conveyor is characterized by the type of conveyor belt used (material, texture, thickness) and by the position of the drive unit (central or end).
Belt Conveyors consist of the following components:
- a drive drum and its Drive/Geared Motor
- end Idlers
- a support frame with a sliding base to support the Belt
- a conveyor Belt
Modular Belt Conveyors, with their rigid acetal belt, allow loads to be accumulated (with friction between the belt and the objects conveyed). The Belt is in fact a plastic chain that meshes with plastic sprockets.
In terms of maintenance, the advantage is that, unlike a conventional Belt Conveyor, the belt does not need to be centered or tensioned.
The possibilities are numerous, depending on the type of load and operating environment. Customization options are numerous, given the wide range of possible criteria and situations.
In addition to the painted steel structure and adjustable feet, all components, motorization and settings are designed according to the constraints defined at the outset of your project.
Depending on the materials to be conveyed, the Belt width and tension can be modified, but it's important to note that the conveyor belt can measure up to several hundred linear meters!

Conveyor belts to suit your activity
A Belt is a conveyor belt consisting of an endless flexible material driven by motorized pulleys. The Belt has a lower and an upper run, which supports and drives the goods placed on it. The belt can be fitted with chevron-shaped ribs to improve merchandise flow.
