Our ecological and environmental convictions

Tecnitude has long been committed to taking the ecological implications of its business into account through simple actions and technical choices in the design of its handling solutions.

Successful expansion must not be achieved at the expense of the environment, or the quality of life for everyone.
Whether it's sorting our own waste or waste from production, recycling materials, choosing paints carefully, or setting up beehives and vegetable gardens on our site, we're determined to combine our results, the improvement of our working environment and respect for the environment.

Tecnitude is also committed to supporting environmental initiatives and associations. While sorting and recycling are now essential, recycling waste, reducing our carbon footprint and using recycled materials such as paper, or making an informed choice of cleaning products, are all simple choices which, combined with our future developments, could lead to an even more virtuous way of working.

We are also keen to limit travel by our sales advisors and use, wherever possible, modes of transport with lower CO2 emissions.

The design of our Belt conveyors allows for optimum adaptability and reusability, to avoid excessive obsolescence and enable equipment to be reused in other contexts and for other needs.

We are also members of associations that promote economic development that respects people and the environment: Made in Respect, the Réseau des Eco-entreprises d'Alsace, the Centre Européen d'Entreprise et d'Innovation d'Alsace, Idée Alsace, etc.

Concerned about protecting biodiversity, we sponsor beehives through associations such as Un Toit pour les Abeilles and AsApiStra in Alsace. The honey harvested is distributed, enabling us to take concrete action to protect bees.

To give further concrete expression to our commitments and corporate orientations, we also support the French League for the Protection of Birds (Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux).

On a daily basis, we adopt a responsible and supportive attitude, notably by sorting and recycling our waste. These gestures and actions reflect the human and civic values shared by our entire team.

Tecnitude's carbon footprint

The Bilan Carbone® is a method validated by ADEME, the French Environment and Energy Management Agency. Its aim is to consider all the emissions linked to Tecnitude's activity within the company (energy consumption, freight, etc.), as well as downstream (purchasing, travel to and from work, etc.) and upstream (customer deliveries, waste processing, etc.). The method uses a new unit of measurement: the CO2 equivalent.

This approach underlines the company's eco-responsibility by combining the mobilization of teams, savings and the environment.

As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable development, we commissioned the Positiv'Energies consultancy to carry out our Bilan Carbone® in 2012, in order to measure our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This gave us a concrete view of our activity and enabled us to prioritize our emissions by defining the areas where we need to optimize our efforts.

Our current actions to reduce our carbon footprint

We're working on eco-design of products, encouraging car-sharing and transport for our teams' home-work journeys, extending the useful life of products and upgrading the efficiency class of asynchronous electric motors from IE2 to IE3.

Mobilizing our team

During a day for the planet, all employees travelled to the company either by bike or by carpool to reduce their commuting emissions. The morning ended with a convivial lunch and games (pétanque and molkky).

Each employee signed a moral commitment to come to work by carpool, bike or bus as often as possible.
