As part of a major works project on the Arche de la Défense site, implementation of a handling system for the removal and reinstallation of the staircase step covering slabs. Dimensions, type and weight of products to be handled: marble slabs 0.36 x 1.40 m - unit weight 85 kg
Problem :
To save time by mechanizing the transfer of marble slabs. For reasons of safety, phasing and accessibility to site machinery, the Belt Conveyor had to be easy to move and dismantle, and each component had to be easy to handle by hand. The study of the workstation and accessibility to this inclined transfer table is one of the key elements of the dossier.
Our solution:
Installation of a MANUBLOC E.A 22 m x 500 mm Belt Conveyor with special flat belt, mounted on transverse pneumatic wheels resting on the steps. Remote start-up controls equipped with potentiometers to speed up or slow down the plate transport speed.
