When the speed is known, several parameters must be taken into account when choosing the gearbox: output speed, output torque and operating conditions.
Conveyor maintenance
To ensure the longest possible belt life, the following maintenance operations should be carried out on a regular basis:
- Removal of material build-up on moving parts
- Eliminate material build-up under the conveyor
- Check that all Idlers are running smoothly.
- Replacement of worn Idlers and return rollers
- Grease and remove excess grease from moving parts
- Adjust sealing skirts and scrapers
- Check drum motor lining for damage
- Belt stroke adjustment
- Check belt tension
- Repair any damage to the Belt
