Frequently asked questions

How to calculate the flow rate of a Belt Extractor?

If you want to regulate the throughput of your conveyor belt, you need a Belt Extractor. Calculating the flow rate from this extractor allows you to know the maximum capacity of the Belt and its filling rate. Note that the maximum width of product on the Belt is equal to [(0.9 X Belt width in mm) - 50].

Our online tool calculates the mass of product per linear meter of belt based on some of your data, such as conveyor drive power, gearbox output speed, head pulley diameter, etc.

Belt extruder throughput calculation

A conveyor belt can only accept a certain maximum grain size. This can be determined by dividing the Belt width by 2.5, or by 3 if the percentage of the largest grain size is less than 30%. The cells to be completed in the online form correspond to the influential input and output parameters.

Note: For conveyors equipped with sidewalls, the theoretical throughput depends on the belt cross-section and the distance between the sidewalls and their height.
